A delegation from the University of Hawai'i Community Colleges visited Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province from May 30 to June 2 to discuss international education cooperation and vocational education exchanges.

On June 1, the University of Hawai'i Community Colleges signed a cooperation agreement with Jiaxing Nanyang Polytechnic Institute. The partnership will focus on smart healthcare and life sciences, combining educational resources from both institutions to develop joint courses, faculty training programs, and talent development initiatives.

The collaboration aims to prepare internationally oriented technical professionals for fields such as smart medical services, elderly care, and health management. The program is expected to strengthen workforce development and help meet growing demand in the rapidly expanding life and health industries.

During their stay, delegation members also visited cultural and industrial landmarks in the city, including the Jiaxing Silk Museum and Puyuan Fashion Resort. These visits provided valuable opportunities to learn about Jiaxing's cultural heritage and industrial development, while strengthening mutual understanding and supporting future educational exchanges and long-term cooperation.
