International students explore Huzhou's cultural, green innovations
Huzhou in Zhejiang province welcomed over 100 international students from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, Hangzhou Dianzi University, and Hangzhou Normal University for an exchange event from May 30 to 31, giving them an insight into the city's rich culture and green development.
In Anji Ancient City National Archaeological Site Park, students toured the museum and the Bamudun site and tried their hand at tile rubbing. Yulia, an international student from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, expressed her excitement, saying, "Transferring ancient patterns onto rice paper felt like a dialogue with ancient craftsmen."

The group then visited Yucun village, where an abandoned mine site has been repurposed into a waterfall cafe. At the Songming Tea Garden, they donned traditional Chinese attire and learned about the history and craftsmanship of Anji Baicha, a variety of green tea.
At the Bamboo Impression Museum, the students also tried traditional bamboo weaving. Lu Tafu and Lin Junxian, international students from Hangzhou Dianzi University found the experience fascinating as they marveled at bamboo's versatility.
The group explored the Deqing "Source of Jiangnan" Cultural Heritage Park on May 31, learning about the evolution of civilization in Jiangnan, which refers to areas south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, followed by a visit to Xinshi Ancient Town to enjoy an immersive stage play.
