This October, workers at the factory operated by Zhejiang Deqing Jiusheng Bicycle — based in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province — are busy assembling, testing, and packing bicycles to fulfill increasing overseas orders.

The global preference for green transportation is driving demand for bicycles. Huzhou's bicycles, known for their excellent quality and innovative technology, are gaining more and more popularity in overseas markets.

According to Huzhou Customs, the city's total exports of bicycles and parts in the first three quarters exceeded 100 million yuan ($14.04 million), up 42 percent year-on-year.

Founded in 2003, Jiusheng Bicycle — a leading enterprise in Huzhou specializing in developing and producing bicycles — exports its products to countries like South Korea, Australia, and the Philippines.

This year, the company's exports of bicycles and parts exceeded 57 million yuan, a 56 percent year-on-year increase.

To support this growth, Huzhou Customs has implemented measures offering guidance on tariff rates and rules of origin under free trade agreements.

This assistance has enabled Jiusheng Bicycle to reduce tariffs in countries like Australia and South Korea, enhancing its competitive edge. With 90 certificates of origin issued this year, the company has benefited from over 900,000 yuan in tariff reductions, according to Liang Weijuan, the company's foreign trade manager.
