The second session of the China-Malaysia-Vietnam Medical Academy Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Study Program was launched on May 21 at Shaoxing Vocational & Technical College.

A total of 22 faculty members and students from Malaysia's Lincoln University College participated in this weeklong exchange and learning program.

This study program includes three types of courses: cultural learning, hands-on training, and clinical observation. Participants get to create herbal sachets and pills, experience the preparation of medicinal cuisine, and gain an understanding of the concept of "medicine and food from the same source".

They also learn Chinese, calligraphy, and baduanjin (a Chinese traditional physical exercise), immersing themselves in traditional health-preservation methodology and culture.

During the program, participants visited Shaoxing Municipal TCM Hospital to study the fundamentals of TCM, observe diagnostic and treatment procedures, and engage in hands-on experiences such as acupuncture, tuina (therapeutic massage), and TCM-based cosmetic treatments.

The program also included visits to local cultural and tourism landmarks such as Lanting Pavilion and Huangjiu (rice wine) Town, offering participants an opportunity to explore Shaoxing's regional culture.

This initiative not only provided international participants with a systematic understanding of TCM knowledge and techniques, but also fostered deeper communication and interaction between Chinese and Malaysian participants through cultural tours and exchanges.
