2026 National Athletics Regional Invitational kicks off in Shaoxing

The second stop of the 2026 National Athletics Regional Invitational is now underway at the Shangyu Sports Center Stadium in Shaoxing on April 2, bringing together nearly 400 athletes from across the country for two days of intense competition, and is open to the public free of charge, offering spectators a thrilling up-close experience.

The competition has both professional and amateur groups, with the professional group, certified as a Level 3 event by the Chinese Athletics Association, attracting 14 teams and over 370 athletes with 19 events for both men and women and two mixed relays.
The amateur group, recognized as a Level 4 event by the Zhejiang Athletics Association, includes 13 events for men and women and is designed for athletics enthusiasts.

This event provides a competitive platform for athletes while giving Shangyu residents the opportunity to enjoy professional competitions up close. The organizers remind the public that no tickets are required for the event.
