The 46th Yueshan Village Spring Festival Gala kicked off on Feb 10 in Yueshan village, Lishui, Zhejiang province, transforming the village into a vibrant hub of traditional festivities.

On the eve of the gala, Fengyuan Street was bustling as villagers prepared for Spring Festival with time-honored customs. The air was filled with the rhythmic pounding of huangguo (a kind of yellow rice cake), and cheerful greetings among neighbors, all mingled with the scent of firewood.

Adding to this year's celebration, members of the Qingyuan team of the Zhejiang Provincial City Basketball League (ZheBA) joined the villagers as special guests. They actively participated in the rice cake making, experiencing the charm of local culture firsthand.

As the sun set, the cultural hall came alive with the villagers' self-choreographed performances, rich in local flavor. Through songs filled with aspirations for a better life and dances that embody the vitality of rural vitalization, the evening showcased the community's spirit and cultural heritage.
