Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province showcased its cultural innovation sector at the 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair in Guangdong province from May 21 to 25, presenting a blend of culture, technology, and intangible heritage through six participating companies.

The city's exhibition focused on the emerging cultural industries — online literature, online film and television, and online gaming. Displays included AI music generation, virtual human animation systems, VR films, and XR real-time tide viewing technology, attracting strong visitor interest and highlighting the application of digital tools in cultural production.

One of the highlights was an AI-powered music platform that allowed visitors to generate songs within seconds. Another popular exhibit recreated the experience of watching the Qiantang River tide through real-time extended reality technology.

A digital animation system developed by the Yangtze Delta Region Academy of Beijing Institute of Technology (Jiaxing) also drew attention for reducing production costs and shortening development time for short online dramas.

Alongside all the technology-focused exhibits, Jiaxing also promoted traditional cultural brands and silk-related creative products inspired by Jiangnan (the area south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River) culture. The combination of historical heritage and digital innovation has become a key driver of the city's cultural industry growth.
