A cultural market celebrating Chinese New Year recently opened at Nord Anglia International School in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, attracting over 200 families.

Organized by the Shuangxihu community of Changshui subdistrict, the event featured 16 interactive stalls offering activities such as traditional sugar painting and calligraphy.

Children immersed themselves in traditional snacks and intangible cultural heritage crafts, while parents shared Chinese New Year customs. Returnee parents shared insights into the differences between holiday traditions in China and abroad.

Kevin Demmon, the school supervisor, who has lived in China for six years, also participated by writing the fu (fortune) character.

Changshui subdistrict will continue fostering community connections to create an inclusive platform for cultural exchange.
