Expats explore Jiashan's rich culture during Spring Festival celebration
More than 100 expats from countries such as the United States, South Korea, and Malaysia gathered on Feb 5 in Jiashan county, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, to explore Spring Festival customs and immerse themselves in Jiashan's rich cultural atmosphere.

The participants, dressed in hanfu (traditional Chinese attire), visited an intangible cultural heritage market, where they sampled local delicacies and participated in hands-on experiences such as clay sculpture making, fan painting, and traditional games like archery and pot-throwing.

As night fell, a dinner featuring traditional dishes and performances highlighting Wuyue culture — the regional culture of Jiangnan (south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River) — was held, blending local flavors and storytelling to offer guests a sensory journey through Jiashan's history.
