Quzhou launches travel routes for senior-friendly tourism

Quzhou in Zhejiang province launched the Nan Kong Li Yang regional public brand on March 19, along with eight high-quality, leisurely, and culturally immersive travel routes designed for seniors.

The Nan Kong Li Yang brand reflects Quzhou's rich Confucian culture, emphasizing attentive, precise, and professional tourism services.

Distinct from traditional tourism products, these routes allow seniors to relax physically and mentally while enjoying picturesque scenery, rich culture, and local delicacies. People can also acquire new knowledge through the engaging activities offered.

Along the culture-themed route, visitors can visit the Family Temple of Confucius in Quzhou and stroll through historical streets for an immersive cultural exploration in the Quzhou Ancient City Cultural Tourism Zone.

The wellness-themed route includes Qianjiangyuan National Forest Park and traditional Chinese medicine wellness bases, promoting health amid nature.

The route focusing on countryside tourism allows visitors to experience the tranquility of ancient villages, including Sanmenyuan in Longyou county and Yingchuan in Qujiang district, as well as Nianbadu ancient town.

Along the culinary-themed route, visitors can engage in local traditions, such as making Longyou rice cakes, while learning about rural wisdom and enjoying hands-on activities.

The route themed on intangible cultural heritage allows tourists to experience traditional crafts like making Shaoyongfeng sesame seed cakes, enabling them to explore the city's rich cultural legacy.

The last three routes offer visitors immersive experiences to explore the geological sites including Jianglang Mountain, as well as the ecological beauty and revolutionary history of Quzhou.
