As Spring Festival approaches, agricultural products from Quzhou in Zhejiang province are experiencing a surge in demand.

At the breeding base of Shiyidu Qingshui Fish in Kaihua county, freshly caught fish are being packed into oxygenated bags with traceability codes by workers.

Qingshui fish are grass carp and other freshwater fish raised in extremely high-quality waters in Quzhou.

"Today, we are shipping 400 kilograms of fish to Shanghai and Hangzhou. We expect to sell 15,000 km within the month, with sales potentially exceeding one million yuan ($144,886)," said Zou Gonghua, head of the company.

To create strong agricultural brands, Quzhou has focused on six key industrial chains, including tangelos, tea, camellia oil, fish, poultry, and medicinal herbs.

The city has integrated local specialties, such as Kaihua Qingshui fish and Changshan Huyou tangelos, into its regional public brand "Quzhou Taste", and encouraged enterprises and cooperatives to develop their own brands, enhancing both public and private brand value.

To ensure product quality, Quzhou has established local standards for "Quzhou Taste", implementing comprehensive control from production to marketing. For instance, the Kaihua Qingshui fish has improved credibility and recognition through standardized breeding and traceability measures.

Currently, the "Quzhou Taste" brand has authorized over 200 enterprises, covering nearly 500 specialty products, with sales exceeding 10 billion yuan. The "Changshan Huyou" brand alone is valued at 10.4 billion yuan.
