Jiaxing Nanhu Airport in East China's Zhejiang province launched its first international cargo flight on May 28, when a YTO Cargo Airlines B767-300F freighter departed for Dhaka, Bangladesh, marking the airport's entry into international air freight operations.

The inaugural flight carried 50 metric tons of goods, including electronics, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and garments from the Yangtze River Delta region. Return flights are expected to transport seafood products from the Bay of Bengal.

Additional routes are planned throughout the year, with 19 more international cargo routes expected to be launched, bringing the total number of destinations to 20 across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

As a dedicated air cargo hub in the Yangtze River Delta region, Jiaxing Nanhu Airport is equipped with modern cargo facilities, customs supervision systems, and integrated air-road transport services, enabling faster clearance and more efficient logistics operations.

Since beginning operations on Dec 26 last year, the airport has steadily expanded its infrastructure, customs access, and international cargo capacity while expanding its air freight network to support regional economic development.
