Huzhou leads Zhejiang in per capita park green space
Huzhou, located in Zhejiang province, boasts over 3,000 hectares of parkland, leading the province with a per capita green space of 20.16 square meters.
From comprehensive parks to pocket parks, green spaces are enhancing the quality of life for residents.
The renovation of Tiaoxi Park in the Huzhou South Taihu Lake New Area has been progressing, with sports facilities such as soccer, tennis, and basketball courts, as well as a riverside fitness trail.
Once completed, the park will serve as a prime spot for residents' fitness and leisure activities and host regular cultural and sports events, becoming a vibrant urban space.

At the Jinxiu Community's Rippling Life Park in Nanxun district, lush greenery and clean squares provide a space for children to play and seniors to socialize, creating a warm community atmosphere.
According to an official of Nanxun's bureau of urban construction, 23 urban parks have been established in the district, transforming underutilized land into popular leisure spots.
The rapid enhancement of its parks reflects Huzhou's impressive achievements in developing green spaces. By the end of last year, the city had completed over 160 pocket parks, repurposing more than 110 hectares of idle land.
To make urban green spaces more engaging, Huzhou is expanding their cultural and consumer functions by building city libraries, hosting public events, and introducing cafes and fitness activities. Last year, over 100 cultural events were held in these spaces.
