Zhejiang province established its first provincial-level cross-border e-commerce industry association in Hangzhou on Feb 11, marking a new stage of standardized and coordinated development for the sector.

The association will focus on four key priorities. In enterprise development, it plans to add more than 30 new brands to the cross-border e-commerce category and to promote compliance initiatives to guide companies toward standardized operations and overseas brand expansion.

In platform cooperation, it will attract global cross-border platforms to establish functional institutions in Zhejiang and foster specialized platforms and independent websites serving niche industries and markets.

In industrial parks and talent development, the association aims to cultivate cross-border e-commerce industrial parks, strengthening professional training and expanding recognition of foreign cross-border e-commerce talent.

In brand building and technological empowerment, it will organize landmark professional exhibitions and promote the application of artificial intelligence technologies in cross-border e-commerce.

In 2025, Zhejiang's cross-border e-commerce exports grew by 24.9 percent year-on-year, while trade in services and digital trade increased by 6.2 percent and 10.4 percent, respectively.
