The Lanxidong–Jiande section of the Jinhua–Jiande High-speed Railway opened for operation on Feb 14, adding a new rapid transport corridor in central Zhejiang.

The railway starts in Jindong district of Jinhua and runs north through Lanxi and Jiande, connecting with the Hangzhou–Huangshan section of the Hangzhou–Nanchang High-speed Railway at Jiande Station. The main line spans 64.51 kilometers and is designed for speeds of up to 250 km per hour.

Currently, four scheduled electric multiple-unit train services operate daily, including routes between Lanxidong and Hangzhouxi, and between Lanxidong and Shanghai Hongqiao.

The fastest travel times from Lanxidong are about 10 minutes to Dayang, 22 minutes to Jiande, 1 hour and 16 minutes to Hangzhouxi, and 2 hours and 54 minutes to Shanghai Hongqiao.
