At Ningbo Pia Automation's factory on Dec 24, the humanoid embodied-intelligence robot G2 demonstrated its skills by deftly grasping aluminum components for seatbelts and placing them onto a tapping machine to cut internal threads.

This step, once requiring human workers, typically took 18 seconds per cycle. G2 now completes the same task in as little as 12 seconds, boosting efficiency while maintaining precision.

Unlike conventional automation, which depends on fixed programs and customized hardware, embodied-intelligence robots are designed to learn and adapt. Equipped with vertical models, G2 gradually masters tasks across different product types and specifications. Through self-adaptive capabilities, it can respond to varied production conditions much like an experienced craftsman.

"By January, humanoid robot G2 will officially become part of Pia Automation's production line," said He Chuan, the company's global R&D director. "This marks a significant step forward for embodied intelligence in smart manufacturing."
