The 2025 China (Saudi Arabia) Export Brand Joint Expo, hosted by the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, opened on Dec 22 in Riyadh, bringing together more than 60 Ningbo enterprises eager to tap into the Middle East's consumer market.
Spanning 40,000 square meters across eight specialized sectors — from home appliances and furniture to textiles and home decorations — the three‑day event is expected to attract around 20,000 professional buyers.
Ningbo's strengths at the expo are evident: Ningbo One Plus Two Coffee Machine Tech Co quickly attracted buyers with its capsule‑compatible models, and Cixi Jianhui Electric Technology Co showcased innovative air‑circulation fans for the region's mid‑to‑high‑end market.
"By organizing our own exhibition and partnering with other Chinese cities, we aim to help companies directly connect with Saudi buyers and seize opportunities in emerging markets among Belt and Road countries," said a representative of the China Chamber of International Commerce Ningbo Chamber of Commerce.
Economic ties between China and Saudi Arabia continue to deepen as the two countries celebrate 35 years of diplomatic relations, with Ningbo's trade with Saudi Arabia reaching 24.03 billion yuan ($3.41 billion) in the first 11 months of this year, up 15.2 percent, driven by machinery, appliances, textiles, and automobiles.
