By the end of November 2025, Lishui recorded a historic high of 2,003 industrial enterprises above designated size — those with annual main business revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.84 million) or more — exceeding 2,000 for the first time.

This represents a year-on-year increase of 7.06 percent, with a net growth of 132 enterprises.

Geographically, Jinyun county, Lishui Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Qingtian county served as the main contributors, hosting 1,030 such enterprises — 51.42 percent of the city's total. These areas added 54 enterprises, accounting for 40.91 percent of the city's net growth.

In terms of industrial structure, the majority are engaged in general equipment manufacturing, ferrous metal smelting and rolling, automobile manufacturing, and metal products, collectively accounting for 814 enterprises — 40.64 percent of the total.

Lishui has consistently strengthened its industrial sector through inter-department coordination and supportive policies under the municipal leadership.

Efforts include promoting measures to help enterprises expand and upgrade, implementing 10 key assistance initiatives in 2025, and assigning dedicated staff to provide one-on-one support for potential growth-scale enterprises.

Moving forward, the municipal economy and information technology bureau will enhance monitoring and guidance mechanisms.

Focus will be on establishing a cultivation database for key projects and industries, leveraging Lishui's service platform to integrate resources and policies.

Additionally, the rollout of a tiered enterprise cultivation system will be accelerated to nurture innovative and specialized firms, including "little giant" enterprises and single-product champions.
