East China's Zhejiang province has outlined an ambitious agenda for the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30).

The province plans to strengthen its global resource allocation capacity, expand international reach, advance institutional innovation, and enhance overall competitiveness.

A major focus will be on upgrading its trade infrastructure. Zhejiang will build a high-standard hub for bulk commodity allocation, accelerating the development of integrated facilities for storage, processing, maritime services, trade, and exchanges.

The province will also deepen the next phase of Yiwu's comprehensive international trade reform and bolster its role as a global digital trade center. Large-scale exhibitions will gain increased influence and draw a larger audience.

On the consumer front, Zhejiang will expand the supply of high-quality imported products through platforms such as the China-CEEC Expo, and support Yiwu's efforts to become a global hub for imported goods. Service consumption will be expanded by opening new consumption spaces.

The province will also cultivate new forms of consumption to generate fresh growth. Artificial intelligence will play a key role, with efforts to develop products such as smart wearables and consumer-grade robots, as well as immersive retail scenarios including virtual try-on and metaverse shopping.

Zhejiang will continue to innovate business models, encouraging platforms to integrate instant retail and social e-commerce, deepen supply chain innovation, and promote green and smart logistics across the province.
