Lishui sees steady economic growth in first three quarters
Lishui experienced steady and positive economic growth in the first three quarters of the year. The city's GDP reached 165.89 billion yuan ($23.38 billion), a year-on-year increase of 6.4 percent at comparable prices.
By sector, the value-added of the primary industry was 8.06 billion yuan, up 4.2 percent; the secondary industry reached 59.42 billion yuan, growing 5.7 percent; and the tertiary industry hit 98.41 billion yuan, increasing 7.0 percent.
Industrial production expanded rapidly, with value-added of industries above the designated size up by 9.3 percent. Notably, emerging industries like auto manufacturing and electronics recorded robust growth.
Agricultural output remained stable, with the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery increasing by 4.4 percent.
In the service sector, finance, wholesale and retail, and information technology all experienced double-digit growth. From January to August, the combined operating revenue of major service enterprises surged 21.5 percent.
Fixed-asset investment grew 4.8 percent, while investment in manufacturing and high-technology industries rose by 15.7 percent and 17.2 percent, respectively.
Consumer market activity remained steady, with total retail sales up 4.7 percent. Online retail sales surged 36.4 percent, and sales of home appliances, building materials, and new energy vehicles grew rapidly, boosted by trade-in policies.
Resident incomes continued to rise steadily. The per capita disposable income of all residents reached 40,510 yuan, up 5.7 percent. Income growth in rural areas outpaced that in urban areas.
Overall, Lishui's economy maintained a positive trajectory, although some sectors still face challenges. Efforts to promote high-quality development will continue.
