Two China-Europe freight trains loaded with daily commodities, electronic components, and new energy equipment departed from Yiwu West Railway Station on Sept 17, marking Zhejiang's 1,000th train of 2025, including services to Central Asia.

According to YXE Trading Service Group, the operator of the freight services, Zhejiang's China-Europe train network has expanded steadily in both operation models and cargo diversity, with shipments now better aligned to destination market demands.

Ye Qiuran, deputy general manager of the company, said the types of goods transported have grown from small commodities in the early years to 26 major categories covering nearly 50,000 products, including automobiles and photovoltaic equipment.

Since its inaugural journey on Nov 18, 2014, the Zhejiang China-Europe freight train service has opened 26 routes, linking more than 160 cities across over 50 countries on the Eurasian continent.

The service has become a vital logistics corridor connecting China's manufacturing hub of Zhejiang with markets across Europe and Central Asia, supporting the Belt and Road Initiative and promoting resilient trade flows.
