Jinhua promotes trade at Tashkent meeting
The China (Jinhua)–Uzbekistan Economic and Trade Cooperation Meeting was held in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, on April 8 to deepen bilateral economic ties and advance high-quality cooperation.
Located in the heart of Zhejiang province, Jinhua plays a vital role in China-Uzbekistan trade through platforms such as the Yiwu International Trade Market and China-Europe freight train services. The Yiwu–Tashkent express rail service, launched in February 2025, has reduced shipping time between the two regions by about four days, significantly improving logistical efficiency.
A senior official from Jinhua noted that economic and cultural exchanges between the two sides have grown closer in recent years. Moving forward, both parties will strengthen industrial collaboration and expand cooperation across multiple sectors to pursue mutually beneficial growth.
During the event, representatives from Jinhua delivered presentations highlighting investment opportunities. Four agreements were signed on site, covering industrial cooperation, automobile trade, and vocational education.
A special promotional session also featured Yiwu market brands abroad. Twenty leading enterprises from more than 10 industries in Yiwu engaged in in-depth exchanges with over 100 representatives from Uzbek business associations, Chinese-funded enterprises, and local buyers.
